PTA Donations
Your contribution to our fundraising is always appreciated as it helps us to make a greater impact. Help our supportive community by donating whatever amount you can.
Over the years we have helped fund instruments, wellbeing initiatives, outdoor learning, and school trips, benefitting every curriculum area and every Year group at the school.
Each half term we fund a number of bids that come to us from a cross-section of school departments.
We have a dedicate and secure page on Give as you Live where you can choose to make a one-off or small regular donation.
Mental Health Group
The Parents/Carers Mental Health Network group has been meeting since 2022, and has been a great source of support for parents and caregivers and, through them, our students.
The group continues to exchange advice and support, and Year 10 parents are now helping co-ordinate.

Our latest meeting took place on Tuesday 11 March 2025.
We will be announcing meeting dates for April and the summer term soon.
Supporting the Dance, Music, Drama and Art performances: An Opportunity to Get Involved!
Sydenham School host a variety of creative events throughout the year, including art exhibitions, dance recitals, drama productions and musical shows like Battle of the Bands.
We're constantly looking for volunteers to lend a hand in serving drinks and snacks at the bar, and we gladly accept sponsorships from local businesses to ensure these events are a success.
Don't have the time to volunteer? No worries – you can still support our fundraising mission in many ways.
Attend one of our social events and buy a cake, sign up to Easyfundraising for Sydenham PTA to make a free donation or ask your company to give a donation!

Winter Concert: PTA Raffle - Festive Luxury Hampers and Gifts
Our 2024 raffle was a great success!
Thank you so much to everyone who took part, bought tickets or donated items or prizes! We raised just over £1000 which will all go towards funding school initiatives.
We put together 20 amazing hampers, as well as lovely prizes from our generous local businesses Beetroot & Beans, Better Things, Brockley Barge, Cub + Pudding, Canvas & Cream, Energie Fitness, Honor Oak Musical Theatre Choir, Kirkdale Bookshop, JH Skincare, No Shrinking Violet Jewellery, The Moustache, Mont58 Roastery, Golden Heron Art Club, The Wood House (Dulwich), Kittle Photographic.
Our PTA team displayed prizes at our Winter Concert on 11 December, hosted by the school, while we served festive bakes and drinks.

Let's help parents continue to keep uniform costs down, at the same time as fundraising for your school. In particular the school always need good quality blazers, kilts and jumpers and asks for help with giving items in storage a fresh wash. SYD on Track fundraising
Thanks to everyone who joined our special themed high-octane quiz night on Weds 23 October to raise funds for the school and for the SYD on Track fundraiser! Well done to all our trivia winners.
Special thanks goes to our generous supporters Mamma Dough, Babur restaurant and Energie Fitness (Forest Hill).
SYD on Track is a two-year project to fundraise, design and build a go-kart, culminating in a race against other schools on a full-sized race track. Open to students in Years 7,8,9 and 12.

Celebrating Black History Month
On November 2, 2023, we had the privilege of hosting a live talk event in celebration of Black History Month. Eight dynamic speakers from African and African-Caribbean backgrounds took to the stage to share their inspiring stories and experiences to parents, students, and carers. The atmosphere was electric, and the insights were profound! It was both a heartwarming and educational event that truly embodied the spirit of Black History Month.
